It is a privilege to be involved in the Artist Teacher Scheme MA in Education Student Retrospective Exhibition at The Glass Tank Gallery in Headington, Oxford. It is a beautiful space to exhibit in and the range and quality of artworks in the show is exceptional. I am presenting my current work, Lightness of Being.
I am in my third year of the MA and currently working on my final dissertation, it has been a transformative experience in so many ways and I cannot recommend the course enough.

To celebrate its 10th year, the Artist Teacher Scheme at Oxford Brookes presents work as part of an ongoing enquiry into the professional artist teacher identity, balancing tensions inherent in the dual nature of teaching and making. Making as research and learning with community are key foci for the programme. As such, fluid identity construction and the belief that making generates new knowledge are core concepts underpinning these research projects.
The Artist Teacher Scheme (ATS) is a national programme of Continued Professional Development for art educators, co-ordinated by the National Society for Education in Art and Design (NSEAD).
The Oxford Brookes University ATS programme is a pathway on the MA in Education, and is delivered in collaboration with the Pitt Rivers Museum and artist Dionne Freeman.
