About this event

Ever wanted to dip your toes into the world of photography?

Maybe you already take lots of photos and you’re curious to learn more?

Do you want to gain a better understanding of photographic techniques and genres?

Share your work and build connections with a small, friendly group of like-minded people?

Take the plunge!

Come along to our free online Beginners’ Photography Course for adults running in June and July 2021! Whatever your level of experience or ability, you are welcome to join.

Sessions will take place on the 2nd, 9th, 23rd and 30th of June and 7th of July 2021.

In this five week course, we will find out how to look at photographs and get a better understanding of what makes a “good” image. There will be the opportunity to learn from and talk to professional photographers, who will talk about their specialism and give you feedback and guidance on your work.

You will also be able to share and discuss your work and discoveries with your group of course mates, helping to improve your photographic practice. Each session will consist of a 30 minute presentation* on a photography topic, followed by group discussion and presentation of participants’ work.

  • This course is open to all aged 18 and over. If you are under 18, please register your interest by emailing info@fusion-arts.org. We will be running a young person’s photography course soon and will get in contact with details.
  • No special equipment or cameras are needed. Any camera is a good camera (including smartphones)!
  • The course will take place on Wednesday evenings, 6.30 – 8pm BST between the 2nd June and the 7th of July 2021.
