OVADA Professional Development Award

I am delighted to announce that I have been selected for a Professional Development Award by OVADA for my work ‘A Little Light’ currently on show at the OVADA Seven Counties Open.

The award, supported by The Old Fire Station and Broad Canvas Oxford will provide me with mentoring, funding and a joint exhibition at The Old Fire Station in early spring 2018. It’s all very exciting and it’s a real boost to my practice to have this work recognised in this way.

Congratulations to Cally Shadbolt who has also been selected for the award and with whom I will be collaborating and exhibiting as part of this award.

Elements of this work will also be exhibited at the Glass Tank Gallery as part of Beyond Surface on show from Jun 19th till July 21st, an exhibition celebrating 10 years of the Artist Teacher Scheme MA in Education at Oxford Brookes, this exhibition showcases individual visual enquiries from artist teachers. The Artist Teacher Scheme is a national programme of continuing professional development for art educators and provides a unique opportunity for artist teachers to be immersed in their own art, craft and design practice. Beyond Surface provides a platform for past and present artist teacher researchers to showcase a diverse range of making practices that communicate these shifting professional identities.
